Happy Black Friday! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. Are you getting your shopping on today? I’ve had a couple of very relaxing days here in Alicante with Rob and his parents. Our friends Steve and Cayetana invited a bunch of us over for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner last night. Cayetana was born and raised here in Spain but her husband, Steve, grew up in South Carolina – so every year he puts on the full Thanksgiving dinner for whatever American friends are around!
I bet our plates looked a lot like yours, besides being filled to the max.

We had all the staples: turkey, stuffing, homemade gravy, cranberry sauce, corn, sweet mashed potatoes (made by Rob), broccoli casserole and Steve’s homemade biscuits.
This was plate #1. I obviously went back for seconds because well, it was so good I couldn’t resist.

The table was beautiful. Steve and Cayetana even managed to find a pumpkin to put on the table!

After dinner, we filled up on some homemade coffee ice cream, brownies and this apple cake, which Rob’s mom made.

We went to bed quite full because dinner didn’t begin until about 9pm, in true Spanish fashion.
Rob and I woke up and hit the beach for a 4 1/2 mile this morning to work off some of last night’s feast. After a few rainy days in Alicante, we were happy to feel the warm sunshine today. We ran the whole stretch down to where those buildings stop…

and then back!

We did a quick stretch on the sand and then headed home for breakfast.

These old running shoes stay here in Spain so I don’t have to bring mine every time I come visit. My joints will be happy to be back in newer running shoes tomorrow, though.

Breakfast was light and tasty. I had some Greek yogurt, granola and sliced pear.

Rob made me a cappuccino with a heart of foam. Love.

My flight back tomorrow leaves from Madrid so Rob planned a surprise overnight in a cute little town along the way tonight. I don’t know exactly where we’re going but I love a good road trip!

I’ll be back in a little bit to announce the winner of my Green & Clean Giveaway! Enter before noon if you haven’t yet – you can win these cute, eco-friendly cleaning cloths and all natural soaps from Janum. I love mine.

Have a great morning!

Love your photos and glad you were able to have a traditional Thanksgiving all the way over in Spain! That’s pretty awesome. Your breakfast looks similar to mine. I’m having pumpkin, yogurt, warmed up apple, and PB. Then I’m heading out for a run, because it’s pretty warm on the island for November. Safe travels!!!!
That picture of you and Rob is awesome! Jealous of the warm temps!
