Hi guys! Guess what? The fiancé is home!
Rob arrived yesterday afternoon after almost 24 hours of travel from Brazil, where he was working for the past week. I must say, he’s a good sport for letting me snap a photo. There’s no way in heck I’d let someone get in my face with a camera after that long of a trip!
It’s been about 6 weeks since we met up in Austria for my Spring Break and about 10 months since Rob’’s been back in Chapel Hill! It’s been a lot of fun traveling to see him while he’s been working in Spain but I have to admit, it’s nice to have him come to me this time!
Having been on the road for work, I knew the fiancé would be craving fresh, non-fried food so I whipped up some of my chicken gyros with Tzatziki sauce for lunch. I actually cooked the chicken and made the sauce ahead of time so the sandwiches could be assembled in about 3 minutes. I know how nice it is to fly across the world and have healthy, comfort food waiting for you.
After that, we ran a few errands which included getting the future hubs a US cell phone since he’ll be here a good bit and only has his European iPhone. We’re now officially on the family plan. :) Although he’ll be back and forth between Spain and the US for work during the next few months, Rob’s official move home in August is finally starting to feel real.
We went on a date to one of our favorite sushi restaurants for dinner and demolished 4 massive rolls. Rob felt like he had some catching up to do since sushi isn’t very big in Spain.
I took advantage of the jet lag situation and called it a night as soon as Rob fell asleep at 9pm. I don’t know how this happened but we both slept for 11 hours straight. He had an excuse but me, not so much. It felt wonderful though!
Well, it’s time to get some work done this morning. Hope you’re all having a great week so far!
