The studying continues! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Eating and exercising were the two highlights of mine – fit in between lots and lots of cramming for the RD exam.
eats

My Sunday morning started with a breakfast burrito bursting at the seams with eggs, fresh zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, broccoli and some grated Romano cheese on top. Oh, and one massive mug of high-octane coffee.
While gobbling up as much wholesome, brain-food as possible, I’m also on a mission to eat up as many pantry staples as I can over the course of the next month -before our big move to San Francisco. Anne knew just what to do with my bag of barley – we made made her delicious Turkey & Veggie Barley Chili for a fun dinner with the girls the other night. The leftovers have been keeping us fueled for days now. Mmmm mmm mm.
exercise
Friday was an unintentionally long day of studying -eleven hours long- but Anne and I made up for an entire day spent sitting with an eight mile run early Saturday morning. I do love a long run with this girl. Hot yoga gave us a great post-long run stretch yesterday and kept us moving during another eight hour day of studying.
Today marks one entire week of reading, memorization and practice test-taking. While I’m happy to report that I’m beginning to feel prepared, I don’t think the RD exam is one of those tests I’ll ever feel completely ready for – sooner or later I’ll just have to bite the bullet.
Any good weekend eats & exercise to dish about on your end?

That breakfast burrito looks AWESOME!
We did Paul Katami’s Ultimate Kettlebell last night and man are my legs screaming! I’m looking forward to Turbo Fire tonight to loosen up a bit! Have a great week!
I have no idea what Turbo Fire is but it sounds AWESOME.
good eats: creamy broccoli white bean soup
good exercise: trail run w. my roommate
good lucking studying :)
Anne and I did a trail run too – paved but a trail nonetheless! Great minds ;)
Sounds like you ladies are powering through some studying, good luck! Had an awesome sprint workout Saturday & a Sunday morning spin this weekend. Brownies for dessert at my Mom’s this weekend after dinner…& lots of wine, perfect :) Happy Monday!
That’s it – brownies and wine are happening this week. Your workouts sound great!
I had a 5 mile treadmill run on Saturday and did Bikram on Sunday! Today I did my power of 5′s workout!! 50 pushups, 50 sit-ups, 5 planks, 50 squats!
Ooh that looks good! I’ve always wanted to try a breakfast burrito, but I’ve never had one.
I took the RD exam almost 3 years ago and if you’ve studied the Inman book for a week straight, you should be fine. It is mostly food service and management on the test and the Inman book does a good job of covering the information. The test is hard but the tests you took in grad school were probably harder. Try not to stress too much, good luck!
I’m sure this is a silly question :) – but what is high-octane coffee?
Haha, it’s just coffee that I accidentally brewed too strong. :)
