I have some good news to share with you all this morning…
I’m officially a Registered Dietitian!!!
Anne, Maria and I took the RD exam yesterday morning. We decided to keep our test date a secret just in case it didn’t go so well and we needed some time to emotionally regroup – but I’m happy to report we all passed with flying colors. After joyously jumping around with our score reports in hand, Anne and I simultaneously broke the news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with photos with our new credentials. We then made a bee-line for the mall for some celebratory shopping before meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks last night.
We survived 3 semesters of biochemistry and the dreaded comps exam together – it only felt right to finish together and take the RD exam with Anne and Maria. We spent 8 long days studying. There were a few grim moments but these two ladies kept things as fun and as stress-free as possible. Having good friends around definitely lightened things up a bit.

It does. Our clinical professor once told us she was signing her checks with her new credentials when she first became a RD. We laughed but now I feel like I’ll be doing the same thing! I can’t wait to update my email signature, checks, business cards… the list goes on.

Congrats! The RD Exam is one of those tests that your heart will be coming out of your chest while you are waiting for your score to print! But then it is all about celebrating! I am glad are a part of the Dietitian Community…a happy place!
